S.I.P
Have you ever tasted the lips of the ocean?
The depths of its waters gathering
The heart of your world.
I'd sing with the whales if ever
they could understand
just how much
I understand
despite having
legs that walk
in nature's
handmade
constructs.
This machine,
This grand old washing machine,
That dries up on it's own..
We forget we can't swim forever
Yet fail to sustain responsibility for
the forces of nature beyond us
when atop the Earths we believe
we own.
The old men will die away
for the children to carry on the torch
unless solar power
is the finality
of man's ignorantly
knowledgeable
evolution.
We use more resources
than Mother can ever replenish.
I drink from the lips of the Ocean
reminding myself of our origins
to which one day we shall
return.
